My Daughters Shoe Collection (0-13mts)
One of the physical attributes of our babies which we ‘ooh’ and ‘ahh’ over are their tiny hands and legs.. We go bonkers over any possible accessories and if like me, you too have a daughter then well, the options are endless. My daughter is now 13mts and while she always took easily to headbands and clips and bracelets (she can wear them all day), she refuses to wear shoes.
Yep..you read right..she hates shoes. No matter what i do she refuses to wear them and if any force is used then…well, then we have a vocal tandav which goes on and on till the offensive shoes are removed (or kicked away whichever comes first). Nevertheless, being a hyper and super a tive mom is part of the job description and this never quite stopped me from buying more shoes for her…and today i present Pravi’s Shoe Collection…majorly brand new coz she hasnt worn any of these for over a minute
These are her first shoes..the furry pink ones were gifted by a pal when she came to see us at the hospital after my delivery.. Arent they the cutest?? I could hug them and go to sleep! (If i dint have my lil cuddly cutie already). The blue ones are i feel best for babies coz its so soft inside.. and looks like it has socks too
I bought these next 2 for my bros engagement and wedding.. these matched Pravis outfits perfectly and are so cute with the Mary Jane style (pink) with the glitter hearts and the Gold sandals are to die for! Alas these were only given a disdainful glance and a when worn, a swift kick which sent it plonking onto my nose….OUCH! These may look tiny but they certainly do pack a wallop!
I bought these with a very hopeful heart when she turned 10mts..hoping she’d be ok to wear them but again my hopes were dashed. Both of these can be worn with a plethora of outfits and are not too pricey either..at about 350 or 450 INR these are def worth it.
These were again a flop but i havent lost hope as yet. While the velcro ones from DMart are a tad bit heavy the sandals gifted by a pal are adorable.Luckily they still fit so I am hoping Pravi will wear them before she grows out of them too..
These are our latest buy from Bata (inr500). They are the squeaky ones and so darn adorable. Since none of the other shoes worked in making her liking to wear them I am hoping the squeaky noise attracts her enough to wear them
Btw if you’re wondering what happens to those shoes she doesn’t wear, here are a few pictures to give you an idea
So how do you make your kids wear shoes??
