Easy Pancake Recipes On Baby Blog
Pancakes are a toddler’s absolute favorite when the ingredients like chocolate and vanilla are an essential part of it. I remember my niece always demanding for pancakes when I stayed at her place for about 2 months. I used to think what makes her so fond of these that she is ready to eat it everyday! Well, she did use to have cornflakes once in a while but when she knew that I have made pancakes for breakfast, she was the happiest kid and didn’t made any of the family members run behind for finishing her breakfast!
Well, not all toddlers are fond of pancakes and have a special taste and liking for such food so it is better to keep giving different kind of things to your child and see for yourself how they develop their tastes!
Here I have some interesting pancake recipes to share with you all which I came to know from Baby blog and so I thought of sharing it with all those moms who are looking for pancake recipes and suggestions to bring some variety in the taste of pancakes so as to make it appealing for their toddler’s taste buds!
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons white sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2-3 tsp cocoa powder
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil or 2tbsp butter
In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, cocoa powder and salt. Make a well in the center, and pour in milk, egg and oil. Mix until smooth.
Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake. Brown on both sides.
Place a pancake on a plate and immediately cut it with the chosen cutter, serve hot with maple syrup or honey.
Yummy Banana Pancakes
- 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- Salt as per taste
- 1 small peeled ripe banana
- 1tbsp milk(you can use almond milk or full fat or low fat milk)
- 1 large eggs
- Few drops of vanilla extract
- 1btsp melted unsalted butter
- Vegetable oil and butter for cooking
Method of Preparation-
Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a bowl.
In another bowl, mash the banana with a fork until smooth.
Add in the eggs and whisk.
Then add milk and vanilla extract and whisk until completely blended.
Pour the banana mixture and melted butter into the flour mixture.Mix the batter with a spatula until blended. The batter will become thick and lumpy.
Heat non-stick pan over medium heat. Apply some vegetable oil and butter on the pan.
Drop 1/4th cup batter on pan for each pancake. Space them about 2 inches from each other.
Let the pancakes cook till they turn golden brown on the underside and then flip them to cook from other side.
Take them out when pancakes become puffy.
Vanilla Blueberry Pancake
- 1 cup Milk
- 1 Egg
- 3-4 tsp Butter
- Vanilla essence
- 2 cups Flour
- 3-4 tsp Sugar
Method of Preparation-
Take a medium deep bowl and milk, vanilla & egg together and whisk it well so there are no lumps left.
Take another bowl and add flour and sugar in it. After that pour the whisked milk mixture and whisk it continuously until everything is blended really well
Take a large non-stick frying pan and heat it over medium flame. Brush 2 tsp butter on it. Now using a proportion of 1/4th cup mixture for a single pancake, pour the pancake batter on the non-stick pan.
Let the pancakes cook for 2-3 minutes or until bubbles are formed. Flap it to the other side and cook it until the pancake appears cooked from inside.
Turn off the flame and serve it in a plate. Cover it loosely with a layer of foil to keep it warm.
