How To Keep Your Toddler Warm In Winters

Winters make mothers go crazy. They have to constantly worry about their kid being warm and safe from weather. If the kids are not properly protected in winters they may catch cold or even get fever and other such health problems.

Here are some simple tips that will help you in keeping your toddler warm and cozy in winters

Winter Suits

Buy good quality warm winter suits for your kids. You can layer them over thermals. Winetr suits can be one-piece but this makes changing diapers quite a task so you can buy two piece winter suits which can be buttoned together.

Caps and Mittens

Make sure that your toddler is wearing a cap that covers head and ears properly. Make them wear mittens and button them with their jackets for more protection.

You can also make kids wear tights but again they can hinder diaper change so try leg stockings instead.

Proper use of blankets

When your child is asleep, they should be properly covered with blanket. Kids tend to throw away the blankets when they are asleep. You can solve this problem by fixing blankets in place. Simply tuck the blanket under the mattress from the sides after you cover your child with it. This way the blanket will stay in place and your child will be covered all the time.

Limited Exposure to Weather

It is good to take kids out so that they get some fresh air but you need to be careful. If the weather is too cold, stay indoors.

When you do take your child out, dress them well and keep an eye on them. If you see them feeling cold, go back inside. Do not stay out for a long time in any case.

Keep Your House Warm

Make good use of technology and keep your house warm by using radiators, blowers or room heaters. These devices keep your home warm and let the child enjoy. Always make sure that your child is not playing near these devices.

Use carpet or rug on the floor so that your toddler doesn’t get cold.
