How To Make Amul Butter At Home?

You all moms must be aware of how difficult it is to keep looking for healthy food options for your kid. The rate at which processed food products are launched in the market makes it even difficult to think of options which are good for the healthy of toddlers and kids and also lure them in taste!
Well, being a mother you cannot ignore these things and in spite of all the busy schedule you take out time to prepare some interesting and healthy food recipes. This time I tried making a yummy food item which every kid loves to have as the first thing in the morning. The latest ban on some food products like Maggi and many others compelled even more to try something made at home which can be replaced bu the store bought eatables.
Here I have shared and easy and interesting way in which one can prepare Amul butter at home and easily replace the one available in market and food stores. Usually Amul butter is considered safe but the thing is that is processed to a unique temperature and so it doesn’t taste as great as the fresh butter prepared at home and is also made at your own comfort without too much efforts.
Butter is the most consumed butter product especially in Indian families where our steamy hot “aaloo ka parantha” feels cheated devoid a dollop of melting buttery goodness! Isn’t it? But the packaged butters that we have in the market today cannot be as tasty as what we can make in the ease of our homes—natural and nutritious!
Things You Will Need:
- Half a Kg of Pure Ghee (I prefer cow ghee for its yellowish tinge but you can use the normal white ghee as well—it pretty much works the same)
- One fourth of a tablespoon of turmeric powder
- One fourth of a tablespoon of salt (you can also add more or less according to your taste)
- A glass bowl
- A hand mixer or blender
- 9-10 ice cubes
- A container to store the final product—butter
How To Go About It?
- In a clean glass bowl, add your melted or semi-molten pure cow ghee or any other ghee that you are using!
- If your ghee is solidified, run it the microwave for about half a minute to soften it.
- Now in the molten ghee, add the 1/4th tablespoonful of turmeric powder and the salt to taste.
- Mix all ingredients together properly till you feel the salt and turmeric is completely wrapped in the ghee.
- Now to the spiced up ghee, add the ice cubes and let it sit for a minute.
- You do not need to freeze the butter as the low temperature of the ice cubes will help the butter take its form in the very next step!
- Using a hand blender, blend the spiced up, molten ghee and the ice cubes together.
- Keep blending all the ingredient s together till the ghee starts turning creamy and almost frothy.
- The texture will start changing over a period of time, just keep blending with a bit of patience and caution so as to not splatter the butter all over the place.
- Using an electric blender is preferable as the ice cubes may make blending difficult if you plan on using a manual hand blender. It will take a lot of effort and the process will become all the more strenuous! I personally prefer running up things in the mixer in case of lack of availability of hand mixer!
- Once the exact texture is attained, scoop out the butter from the bowl and store it in a container of your choice!
And here you have it—yummy, natural, made at home butter which is healthy and almost similar in taste to the most-used AMUL butter which we get in the markets!
