Vanilla & Blueberry Pancake Recipe

Pancakes are really good food options for toddlers as the ingredients like wheat flour, fruits like banana, strawberry, blueberries etc make them a healthy option for the kids. Fruits are known to be rich sources of vitamins, minerals & glucose which provide instant source of energy.

Egg is one of the predominant constituents of pancakes and are undoubtedly great sources of protein which is very essential for the kids nutritional requirements for growth and development. Adding eggs to pancakes makes it fluffy and soft which makes the taste of the pancakes really yummy.



This is indeed a filling breakfast for the kids which is devoid of any junk food item which are known to cause digestion issues in kids. The wheat flour provides the adequate amount of carbohydrates to the toddlers to procure ample energy for engaging in their daily physical activities.

Ingredients needed-

  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 Egg
  • 3-4 tsp Butter
  • Vanilla essence
  • 2 cups Flour
  • 3-4 tsp Sugar
  • Blueberries

Method of Preparation-

Take a medium deep bowl and milk, vanilla & egg together and whisk it well so there are no lumps left.

Take another bowl and add flour and sugar in it. After that pour the whisked milk mixture and whisk it continuously until everything is blended really well.

Take a large non-stick frying pan and heat it over medium flame. Brush 2 tsp butter on it. Now using a proportion of 1/4th cup mixture for a single pancake, pour the pancake batter on the non-stick pan.

Let the pancakes cook for 2-3 minutes or until bubbles are formed. Flap it to the other side and cook it until the pancake appears cooked from inside.

Turn off the flame and serve it in a plate. Cover it loosely with a layer of foil to keep it warm.

You can present it to your toddler by garnishing with blueberries and chocolate syrup to make it appealing to their eyes.

P.S. In case you don’t find blueberry, you can add strawberry or raspberry!
